At Northcross Christian School, we prioritise the holistic development of our students, recognising that their wellbeing is fundamental to their academic success and personal growth.

Our dedicated Wellbeing Team, comprising the Deputy Principal (Operations & Wellbeing), School Counsellor, School Chaplain, and Learning Support Coordinator, work collaboratively to ensure that every child thrives emotionally, mentally, physically, intellectually, socially, and spiritually. Through regular meetings and discussions, the team devises tailored strategies to support students in reaching their full potential, acknowledging that each child may require different forms of assistance at various stages of their journey.

What We Offer

Our School Counsellor offers individual counseling sessions and implements specialised programs such as the ‘Cool Kids Anxiety Program’ and the ‘iBelong Program’ to address specific needs. The school chaplain offers further support by fostering spiritual growth and guiding students through life’s challenges. One lunchtime a week, CRU groups are held, allowing students to deepen their understanding of God and strengthen their relationship with Jesus. Additionally, our Learning Support Coordinator ensures that students with diverse needs receive appropriate accommodations both in the classroom and on the playground.

Beyond student support, the Wellbeing Team extends its services to empower staff and engage with parents through workshops and resources on topics ranging from cyber safety, parenting skills and strategies to help support children’s social-emotional regulation. With the recent introduction of the ‘Grow Your Mind’ program, we are excited to equip our students with essential tools for nurturing their mental health. Together, the staff at Northcross foster a caring and inclusive environment where every member of our school community can flourish.
