Term 4 Car parking and School logistics during construction
The stage 2 building works have commenced...and we are very excited that this has become a reality! We look forward to the wonderful new facilities that God is blessing us with.
Due to the commencement of building works in the holidays, the following arrangements have been made:
• NO ENTRY TO OR PARKING IN THE CAR PARK AT ALL
• The Myra Ave gate has been relocated further down Myra Ave. Access is via stairs and a ramp. (Note: no pram/disabled access from Myra Ave during construction)
• Pram/stroller access will be via the new gate in Dobson Cres.
• The ROOSH gate from the car park is no longer accessible. Access for ROOSH before and after school will be via a new gate located in Dobson Cres.
• The uniform shop has relocated for this term to the end classroom (D1) next to Year 2 (2P). Enter via the breezeway, last set of glass doors.
• Car park pick-up and drop off can commence as of Monday 9th November in our new “Kiss & Ride” zone in Dobson Cres. Thank you to Ryde Council for fast tracking the signage.
Note: Dobson Cres opposite the school is now a
NO STOPPING ZONE
8-9:30am, 2:30-4pm school days
Fines apply for stopping or parking in these zones
Morning Drop off
You can drop off your children in the “No Parking-Kiss & Ride” zone outside the school.
• Children exit on footpath side of car ONLY
• Have school bags with children not in the boot
• Driver may not get out of the car
• NO PARKING in these zones-drop off only
• Please ensure you drop off your children safely and quickly as there will be no staff supervision at drop off time
Afternoon Pick-up
As this is in the street and not in the car park, extra caution and courtesy will be needed please
• Commences at 3:10, finishes 3:25pm
• No lining up earlier as this will disrupt traffic flow in Dobson Cres-you will be moved on by staff and have to go around the block.
• Teachers will direct you into one of 2 pick-up bays in the “No Parking-Kiss & Ride” zone outside the school.
• Please have signs clearly displayed on the left hand side of your windscreen
• Students will be put into cars by teachers-school bags will need to go in with them-not in boots
• Exit Dobson Cres via Lane Cove Rd-no turning around in church car park (one way only for pick up)
• NO PARKING in these zones-pick up only
Late parents will no longer be available from Monday 9th November. Parents can choose to pick up their children from the playground at 3pm or pick them up from the car park system from 3:10-3:25. If you wish to join the car park pick-up system, please request a form from the office so a sign can be made for your car and your child/ren put on the list.
Thank you for your patience in all of these changes. We are working towards making dropping off and picking up your child/ren less disruptive for you and our neighbours.
We anticipate that the car park pick up system within school grounds and the old access to Myra Ave will be back to normal in Term 1, 2010.
Patience, grace and flexibility are essential for all members of the community during this time of construction. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding in these matters and look forward to these new fabulous facilities to be ready for use in 2010!
